It’s always a bit of a challenge shopping for kids whether they’re young, teens, or semi-adults. I’m all about the gift cards personally, but when I’m gifting to the kids in my family I like to try and put a little more thought into what I purchase. Hopefully these gift ideas help you while you’re crossing things off your list this year! If nothing else, I hope they give you a little inspiration and maybe a few new ideas!

- Pranklopedia – for the kid who loves to pull pranks, here’s a book full of ideas!
- Knee High Novelty Socks – these knee high novelty socks are ADORABLE and would make any young lady happy to wear them!
- Whipz – these micro racer mini cars are SO much fun! Kids love carrying them around!!
- Flashing Finger Light Gloves – I don’t know what it is about novelty items like this, but these gloves are all the rage right now!
- Disney Princess Necklace Activity – I know a few little girls who will be gifted this from me this year!!
- Smack It! – this card game is fun for the whole family and puts an exciting twist on Slap Jack and War!
- Talking Robot – this little talking robot can record anything you say and repeat it all back to you, too. Between the voice and the light up features, this little gadget would make the perfect gift!
- Moon Torch – a pocket flashlight you can take anywhere & project the moon wherever you go. Too fun!
- Would You Rather? – I don’t know what it is about kids and the WYR game, but we play this one ALL the time. The grosser the scenarios, the more fun! LOL!
- 3-Minute Gratitude Journal – I love this journal and how it helps kids get into the habit of self-reflection, being mindful, and practicing gratitude.
- Totally Gross the Game – silly science questions and gross out challenges?! What more could you want for a family fun night?!
- Puzzle Brainteaser Challenge Ball – keep those idle hands busy with a little logic and problem solving…this one will challenge them for sure!
- LiquiPen – these novelty pens are fun to write with and to look at! There’s not a kid I’ve found yet that doesn’t love these!
- Art Studio Kit – this kit is an art studio in a box and comes with everything a kid would need for expressing their creativity.
- AudioPet Bluetooth Speaker – I added this little gadget to the 2017 Kids Gift Guide, but I wanted to add it again this year because I LOVE THIS THING. We thought ours was lost and just found it the other day and I was reminded how powerful this little thing really is! The sound quality is excellent and this tiny little audio pet really packs a punch! So happy we found ours! It’s been playing non-stop ever since!
- GoCube – this app enabled Rubik’s cube adds all the value to screen time and, in my opinion, is worth the splurge!
- Crayola Lightboard Drawing Tablet – Kids absolutely LOVE this light up drawing tablet. The best part for parents?! It’s mess-free! Amen!
- Artie – this little coding robot is a toy of the year finalist for 2020 and a great gadget for helping kids to understand and practice coding!
- Lego Make Your Own Movie Activity Kit – this activity kit is great for getting kids to show their stop motion animation skills! SO much fun!
- Optical Illusions Activity Kit – this activity kit is great for the kid who is fascinated by optical illusions and wants to know more about how they’re created
- Literati Books – if you have an avid reader on your hands, look into this amazing little book club for kids! SO cool!
- Fortune Cookie Bracelets – these little fortune cookies each contain a collectible bracelet. This is one fortune they won’t be sad to open!
- Fort Builder Kit – this fort building kit is the coolest. It comes with 77 pieces and glows in the dark! Parents, move over! Fort making is a kids job now!
- Baketivity Set – it’s time too put the kids in the kitchen! This pre-measured ingredient kit yields half a dozen cake pops and kids will have the best time getting their hands dirty for this edible reward!

- Unstable Unicorns – the game of all games! This one is a ton of fun for both boys and girls alike!
- Unicorn Sleep Mask – if you can’t be a unicorn, you can at least sleep like one.
- Go Long! Dice Game – if you’re buying for a football enthusiast, you’ll want to add this dice game to his/her stocking. So much fun!
- Wreck This Journal– I would have died for a journal just like this when I was a tween/teen. It’s the unjournal…meant to be beat up and kicked around. This thing is awesome!
- Emoji Fortune Teller – because just a regular Magic 8 Ball won’t do anymore.
- Rubik’s Batttle – fun sized game for the whole family, but tweens/teens really love this version!
- Q&A a Day – if you know a tween/teen who loves to journal, this is an awesome book to get them writing and talking. Lots of opportunity for reflection here!
- Phone Holder – just a fun little novelty item that’s perfect for a stocking. These little hands help hold those handheld devices when the hands don’t want to hold it themselves!
- Cookbook for Teens – get your kids in the kitchen with this cookbook specifically written for your tween/teen! Lots of easy, delish recipes that are sure to make them a proud cook!
- Chapstick Keychain – we all know how easy it is to lose our chapstick. These little keychain chapstick holders are the perfect solution!
- Boys & Girls Guides To… – oh how I love these ” Guides To…”. Such practical advice and great wisdom. If they don’t want to hear it from mom and dad, this book is a great alternative! A boys version and a girls version is available.
