Your Mission…Should You Choose to Accept…
When I presented in Chicago, I shared some fun {to me!} math activities that my kids really love{d}. I figured y’all might be able to use a few of them so I wanted to share some of them here, too! The best thing about these activities is that they can be used in all different ways…whole group, independently, dessert tubs, etc. Just a few really simple ideas to keep your kids engaged in hands-on learning! One of my favorite ways to keep my kids engaged is with this little “Beat the Timer” notebook. This would work for anything…not just math. I have a tub in my room that holds my little sand timers and this little ... Read More

Back to School Bash…The Ultimate Giveaway{s}!!!
Can you believe it is time to....dare I say it...go back to school?!? That's right! Summer has come and gone, and it is time to get back into those classrooms, organize all of that supplies, decorate your space, plan some out of this world lessons to WOW your kiddos on those first few days back, and well...that leaves zero only a small amount of time for you. BUT...I have great news. Some of my best friends and I know a *little* something about how hard teachers work and how much blood sweat tears love we pour into our classroom each year. So, we have been planning a little something {for quite a long time} to ... Read More
My Kind of Town
Well…it’s OVER. Not summer…just yet…but my very first presentation. Lawdhavemercy. And this pretty much sums up my feelings about it all until I was finished… Nervous would be an understatement. But I did it…and I had a BLAST!!! And I met SO many AMAZING educators!!! Everyone was so sweet and they were even smiling at me as I rambled on and on. I know I’m not funny, so they either felt really sorry for me or they were genuinely *enjoying* my little presentation. To make myself feel better, I’ll go with the latter ;) I wish I would’ve taken more pictures, but my nerves got the best of me. I ... Read More
Throwback Thursday
Sooooo...it's Thursday, y'all. And if I'm being totally honest, if it weren't for my weekly linky parties, this blog would be full of tumbleweeds and crickets. I've been CONSUMED with trying to get my presentation ready for the Extraordinary Educators Conference in Chicago this weekend!!! Eeeek!!! SO nervous, but so excited!! Now it's time for... And since I'm headed to Chi-Town for a few days full of fun and learning, I figured it was only fitting to throwback to my last trip to Chicago this past Fall with some of my closest, most favorite friends. After all, I have NO pictures to share from the I ... Read More

I love finding a great new recipe or a something I've never seen before that I just "have to have" :) The only rule: please make sure to link back to the ORIGINAL poster and not to Pinterest :) Because let's be real....Pinterest is NOT a person!!! Please and ... Read More
Throwback Thursday
After two weeks of traveling, I'm happy to say that we're FINALLY home! Woo hoo! Now it's time for a little.... This week's throwback is inspired by a few books I've started reading. I bought these books a while back, but time wasn't exactly on my side, so I'm just now getting around to reading them and devouring every.single.word. I can honestly say that teaching writing is an area where I REALLY want to grow this year. I mean, I feel like I have the hang of it...I can see tons of growth in my kids' writing every year...but I KNOW I can do more!!! I'm so excited to see what I learn from these ... Read More
How To Schedule Your Facebook Posts
How many of y’all schedule your blog posts days {or dare I say WEEKS} in advance?! Y’know…when you know you’ll be out of town or when you just happen to be working *ahead*. Ummm, as for me, notsomuch. As you can see, I’m doing good to even attempt to blog once a week. However, since I’ve been out of town, I’ve really tried to stay on top of scheduling my linky parties in advance. Did y’all know you can schedule your Facebook posts, too?! Am I the LAST one to know about this?! I mean, it totally wouldn’t surprise me if I am. I’ve never been the first to find out about anything. But ... Read More
