Bats & spiders…cute or creepy?! I can NEVER decide! These little creatures couldn’t be any cuter than when they come in the form of clipart 🙂 In this packet, you will find 7 hands-on math tub activities with a bat and/or spider theme. The concepts reinforced in this packet include:
*Counting Spiders – 1-to-1 correspondence and numeral recognition and/or Addition, number sequencing, & least to greatest/greatest to least
*Creepy Patterns – students determine whether a set of patterns is AB/ABB/AAB type and sort; create & extend patterns
*Find, Tally, & Graph – students count the objects on a picture mat then transfer the information to a data sheet {tallies, bar graph, reading a graph…most/least/equal amount}
*Skipping Spiders – students read a set of numbers and determine what number is missing
*Batty About Counting – students practice sequencing numbers 1-20 (counting by 1’s and skip counting by 5’s & 10’s
*Spidey Sight – Students match tens frames to number word/numeral/tallies
*Missing Parts – students read a part/part/whole card to determine the amount that is missing
