I’ve decided that when I grow up, I wanna be just like Deanna Jump. LOVING all of her FUN {and darling} activities!! Have you had a chance to grab her Veteran’s Day unit? If you haven’t, you really should! Veteran’s Day is a BIG deal at our school. The kids invite any family members or friends that have served or are serving in the military. The honored guests gather in the library for a reception and a tribute. Kids are chosen to read their essays and the whole event is broadcast for everyone to see. After the tribute, the veterans/soldiers parade through the school as everyone stands outside their classrooms waving flags while patriotic music blares over the speakers. SO touching and yes…it brings tears to my eyes 🙂 Anyway, we’re always looking for ways to make this day even MORE special and when I found Mrs. Jump’s Veteran’s Day Unit, I about fell out. Just PERFECT!! We’re saving a few activities for Thursday, but we’ve already… brainstormed Veteran’s Day words after reading a book about this special day… created these DARLING soldiers to hang in our halls for our Veterans…
…and we completed writing prompts that came with the unit to display as well. LOVE.IT.ALL!!!!

I just purchased this unit. Love it! Do you have a copy of the words you used for the brainstorming activity? If you don't mind sharing, I would love a copy. Thanks and have a great day!
