Hey Sue! Yes…regular chalkboards, but I use chalk markers. Real chalk and I don't get along :). You can get chalk markers at craft stores and they come in all sorts of fun colors!!! Happy new year to you!

Sometimes I'd read it, but most the time I'd listen to it while I got ready in the morning. I'm sure there are lots of recordings of it, but I always listened to it on my "lds gospel library" app or lds.org. (The bible is just the King James version, no changes unless you click on little footnotes). I felt like it helped me to focus on something good while I got ready for my day. I LOVE your blog by they way and when ever I can implement what you do into my 2nd grade class it makes me very happy (:
