The Science of Summer is a little taste of science. This resource not only includes one week’s worth of detailed lesson & plans and cross curricular activities, but it also provides you with a hands-on idea of how our monthly resources are organized and executed. The perfect summer sampler (great to implement during the hot summer months of the school year, too!!!)

Although this resource is only one week in length, it is JAM-PACKED full of science lesson plans and cross-curricular activities for ELA and math as well. The Science of Summer covers SUN SAFETY and SUNSCREENand includes lesson plans, experiments, non-fiction texts, science notebook activities, vocabulary resources, and MORE!

The Science of Summer includes everything from visual plans to pacing calendars and everything in between. If you’re looking for something to simplify your planning, this is the resource for you!

This resource was created with the K-2 classrooms in mind, but the games and activities could be easily adapted to meet the needs of a 3rd grade classroom as well. The science skills covered in this resource include observable changes, changes in physical properties, energy, and scientific investigation and research (Common Core and TEKS compatible).
